Musings [130 words]

What an interesting morning.

I covered a lot of ground on this one, starting that Coast Guard Station, to Lower Harbor, and to the Ore Dock.

When driving around the harbor, I was excited to see the USCGC Spar (WLB-206), a cutter and buoy-tender stationed in Duluth, it’s fun to see the big ships come to Marquette.

The cutter is named after the former U.S. Coast Guard Women's Reserves, also known as SPARS from the Latin and English translations of the Coast Guard Motto: Semper Paratus; Always Ready!

Secondly, on a more personal note, I was saddened to see my love lunch spot picnic table crushed from and pushed into the ground from the weight of one of Marquette’s largest snowbanks.

Countless times over the course of back-to-back summers I visited one of these picnic tables for a lunch break. I even made a small photo series of it.

Ok, this one was just taken for Joe Pera.
