April, the month where Michiganders are fooled each year into thinking Spring is actually beginning. Perhaps along that thinking, I’ll say it here and I’ll say it once, April is my least favorite month of the year in the Upper Peninsula.
The highlight include some incredible ice formations as Superior reaches its final thaw, and that first 50º day feels incredible. However, it’s often wet and muddy, the beauty of snow is gone, and everything is grown. Is it Spring, or is it Winter? I admit, it’s all a tease, but you know another late season snowstorm or three are still just around the corner.
