Given that no fewer than 98% of these sunrises have been taken while in Michigan, it makes January 26 a special day. It was January 26, 1837 when Michigan was admitted to the union, and through one project or another I’ve recognized a lot of Michigan’s history.

Turns out, that some of these January 26 mornings have been about as special as they come.
