From the beginning one intention of this project has been to spend more time outside. I’m blessed to live in the Upper Peninsula along Lake Superior, an outdoors mecca.

It’s hard, to not take life for granted. It requires intention, hard work, commitment, and waking up at ungodly hours. However, I’d be the first to admit that there have been years where I’ve lived here and taken it for granted.

However long or however little, I have committed for the last 2,183 days to spend some portion of my day outside. No matter how sick I might feel, no matter how cold, no matter anything.

On some of those mornings, en route to sunrise, on my way back, rushing to or from one location to another, I have occasionally found myself indoors slightly before, after, and once or twice, during sunrise. Sometimes, those are the photos I choose to publish.
