I don’t know why, but I thought I’d include this outtake here. The gulls rarely fly this close to my head, and he whizzed by while I tried snapping a couple photos. I usually see them ont he ground, flying high, or far in the distance, but almost never up close at eye level.

Personally, I probably would have chosen the first photo below, or the second. But I let my old pal Mike choose which photo to publish for today. Not only because he’s a longtime friend and he paid to have this date published, but it’s also the morning of his wedding. For a good long time friend (20+ years), happy to make that happen.
