This photo shows the hole I had to wiggle into to get the photo above.
There wasn’t enough room to simply crouch down, I had to get into an army crawl position with just the upper part of my torso laying into the opening of the hole, hardly wide enough for my shoulders.
I was about to step in a different direction to get photos from another perspective when I nearly walked past this. When I noticed this hole, I knew it would be my composition for the morning.
After a good freeze of Superior, March remains one of the best months for photo along her shoreline, as the ice formations change daily and provide these unique perspectives.
