In celebration of my 11th consecutive New Year’s Day sunrise, I made sure to spend it The Tombolo on Minnesota’s North Shore.
A tombolo is a small island joined to the mainland by a sandbar.
Being here, on this particular day, meant a lot. After years of seeing photos, it was like seeing a film location from a favorite film.
