Musings [168 words]
This isn’t my usual photo selection, then again, this isn’t my usual photo.
What draws me to this photo is a deep amount of delight, the way the sun appears to be sinking in the horizon, like a heavy ball resting on a mattress or a trampoline.
I can’t explain it, and I’d be lying if I said this was intentional or something I saw through the viewfinder.
It probably has to do with refraction of light, or certainly something through science that I don’t know how to explain, but the delight is heavy, as is the sun.
Whatever it is, however it is, I know it gives me an immense amount of joy and delight. I have countless photos of the sun, in and out of focus, resting on the horizon, but nothing that has shown this effect as much as this particular photo.
I’m happy that delight is an emotion we feel, and grateful that it has become an emotion I am most in tune with.
