Today’s selection comes down to, “Which photo is most difficult to replicate?”
I’ve attempted and published a similar photo before (April 26, 2020), but this one satisfies me much more.
This was a very precarious position to get into, especially with wet rocks and smooth ice all around. And a little uneasy feeling of this huge melting ice chunk directly above me. While I could get down here on another morning, it’s unlikely there’ll be an opening in the ice like this, with the sun positioned just so.


I’m certainly drawn to these two photos of the catwalk. And while the sky was uniquely beautiful, the compositions themselves are easy to replicate.
