It’s nearly impossible here to choose between the short (1/50 of a second) and long (20 seconds) exposure versions. So often I tend to favor the longer exposures, but here I’m favoring the small ripples on the water. Other than composition (etc etc blah blah blah), I often favor the longer exposures because it also illustrates and reminds me of the the effort put in. It’s proof, and a reminder, that I drug my tripod to wherever I was that day, that it was more than a snapshot, and sometimes, demonstrates a smidge more photographic… dare I say, expertise?
