With so many photos looking down the shoreline of the McCarty’s Cove beach from Shiras Park, I wanted to lean into something different, something I’ve always wanted to showcase more of. Here, it’s the way the water looks when you look off to the side of the sun. In today’s select photo, the sun is certainly up, I just left it out of the frame, and I love to see the gradient in the brightness across the image. However, I am really torn with this first outtake, it shows a lot, including the city crew working on clearing the culvert.
