Waking up at my brother’s house in Mount Horeb, I got out the door with plenty of time. Having been to Blue Mound State Park for sunrise before I had a good idea just how much time it took to get there and what I was in for.
Until…
Until, I found out the road to the top was blocked off and not plowed.
It was about a 4º windchill, but I never would have known it the way I huffed and puffed and sweated as I hustled to the top in a panic that I was going to be stuck in the trees when the sun came up.
