A less than spectacular photo, this one has a lot of meaning. It shows that, technically, I could view the sunrise from just 50 feet in front of my parents’ front door.
Blocked by trees and especially leaves most of the year, it shows that growing up we were, at times, blessed with the morning sun shining through the trees and into our house.
Maybe, ever so slightly, this had a lasting impact, a longing for that morning sunlight.
