This is a Class AA sunrise. Ok, I’m still working on a classification system, but this is about as good as it gets. All the elements, and getting soaked in the process.
The evolution of a sunrise…
Imagine walking out to the beach, seeing this first photo, and turning back.
Conversely, imagine showing up late to sunrise and seeing this last photo and thinking, “I didn’t miss anything.”
These moments are fleeting. This gap in the cloud allowed for maybe three glorious minutes. And if you were there at any other time, you wouldn’t have known the magic that just occurred.
It’s unimpressive, unimpressive, followed by unimpressive, unimpressive. But sometimes, only once in a while, in between those longer stretches of familiar sky, something miraculous happens.
And I was there.
