I love this type of ice formation, incredibly thin and fragile, and seems to only happens during the bookends of winter. It really has a lot of similar energy to the December 20 outtakes.

This shows the scale of the ice much better. The width here must be 18" at most, and maybe 24" in length, at most.

Revisiting these last two photos over two years later really had me tripped up. At first I thought, “Wow, it was really foggy that morning!” But when I checked the next photos, there were as clear and crisp as any I’ve taken. I love the look of these two, but I think what’s going on is the lens was been fogged over. I must have noticed and cleaned it off quickly before the sun ducked behind that cloud in the photo above.
