Another difficult photo edit. Let’s dig in…

Ultimately I warned there will be lots of 2020 photos looking through grass and, ferns, and plants, and flowers. I’ve tried to achieve this several times from South Beach, but it’s rarely produced something I’ve enjoed. What especially spoke to me on this was the blurry back streaks. Those are flies! And the flies speak a little more to the experience of the morning and the beach.

Now this, this was a tough call, and a close second. But it just felt vaguely familiar to me on the morning where this grass photo felt more unique.

As much as I love this, I ruled it out based on the similarities to July 17, 2019.

I’ll never grow tired of a twilight gradient in the sky, but for the purposes of editing, I’ve been there, done that, and will do it some more on less inspired days.

Love the placement of the bird, but nothing especially shoutting out to me here, and the sky is a bit overexposed.

What did I say about gradients? But I have lots of this exact composition in all seasons.

Me too Will, me too.
