Musings [143 words]
This morning was special. Before the sea smoke on Superior, before the incredible sunrise, but after the brisk cold, was the best moonset I’ve ever witnessed. It was brief, but gosh golly, gee whiz, I’m happy I was able to get to the peak of Sugarloaf with so much time to spare to witness it.
As I was driving up County Road 550 I saw this incredible moon ever so briefly before it tucked behind the trees, I was certain it’d be gone by the time I got to the top.
This moonset was at about 8:17 a.m., 16 minutes before sunrise.
Certainly a telephoto lens would have done better, maybe one day I’ll still be doing this project and carting around some new glass. But the in-person experience always outshines the photo.

Paying my respects to Bart
P.S. Yes, Bill, I know.

I rushed down to the shoreline to catch some of the sea smoke while the sun was still relatively low. It was sunning. Though on this particularly morning, I though I may never feel my fingers ever again.
