I took over 100 photos on this morning, and on such a beautiful and inspired morning, it made it one of the most difficult mornings to edit of the project. Hence, it was the very last edit of 2020. For that reason, here are a lot of outtakes.
In the end I kept coming back to the select photo due to all the sunflares hitting the ice at different angles. I gravitated to the ice being in focus as it clinged to the wire. I’m happy the breakwall light still makes its way into the photo, just barely.
What I remember so clearly about this, now 2.5 year later, is how these little piece of ice wobbled on the wire, some just hanging on by a tiny piece as the sun melted them away.
Right now, as I right this, is monumental. It feels like an enormous weight off my shoulder. After 2.5 years, 2020 is published. A project I never expected to go beyond 2019, was impacted by a world of changes (literally with COVID), as the project went on.
