The photo of the fern was an easy editing selection. They’re a beautiful plant that I had not yet captured for sunrise. I’ve had an affinity for these plants since playing in the woods as a kid. This was taken walking back from sunrise thinking I might be done for the morning.
In order of preference for today’s chosen photo.

I was really drawn to the depth of field in this one, again more ferns, close to the ground in my beloved “squirre’s eye view of the world.”

Not sure what to say, it just speaks to me before the others.

Though I am very drawn to this photo, it instantly reminded me of June 17 and September 7, 2019. That’s not always a dealbreaker in editing, however.

I loved the close-up detail of seeing how transparent these leaves are with the direct sunlight. However, the focus came out a litlte soft and I don’t have a lens with a close enough focal distance to pick up the detail I wanted.
