Remarkably, today’s sunrise was after 8AM. It feels incredibly late.
Lately, it’s not the mornings that are hard, it’s the nights. I long for a night where I have zero concern for the morning.
Sunrising felt incredibly difficult this morning. I really had to drag myself out of bed, then I couldn’t get the vantage point I wanted, and I couldn’t keep the lens dry.
I think it stems from a grumpy night. I’ve been craving time to spend with my thoughts, which just hasn’t been happening. And for weeks I’ve been trying to find a way to spend a couple days in The Porkies, or Ironwood, or The Keweenaw for some fall color sunrise photos. Even getting to the top of Hogback with a friend has been difficult with Fresh Coast and Plaidurday obligations the last couple weeks and for the next. When will I get some time to be with my thoughts and think and process? When will I get to all the other sunrise locations I’ve been missing out on? Next fall will be just as busy.
Ok, time to Fresh Coast.
