Please tell me that “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys will be a timeless classic forty years from now.
I promise you, if the first thing you do is chase the sunrise for 274 mornings in a row, you will grow and prosper emotionally.
I am sad how little this journal has been touched in the last several weeks, but there’s been no way to get around it. Nearly all of my extra energy has been put into Fresh Coast. It’s Plaidurday week, and it’s the least I’ve ever worked on Plaidurday, Uff.
My favorite sunrises is when I see something new, not as in a new place (though those are great too), but see something new within the sun. I could have called it earlier this morning, but I stuck it out a little longer and went to Pebble Beach for another vantage point. Suddenly an fuzzy orb appeared behind the clouds, and then it was as though someone took a razor blade and made an extra fine cut through the clouds, right in front of the sun. It lasted for maybe fifteen seconds and was gone. The fine detail of it was too fine to be picked up with a camera (or at least with my camera set up), but it’s one of those mornings that a photo will never do it justice.
