Musings [143 words]

This is mostly an Upper Peninsula and Lake Superior project. I have not tallied it, but probably 90% of this project is taken from the shores of Lake Superior.

I’m sitting downtown Detroit waiting for the Great Lakes Memorial Service at Mariers Church, the historic church that was created for sailors, and is known to be the church that first played the bells 29 times on Nov 11, 1975, the morninga after the sinking of the Edumund Fitzgerald.

Forty-four years later, by chance, I happen to be in Detroit on this day. And it’s a cute little coincidence that my last name is Sailor.

In 1975, I was still eight years away from being born. Now, for more than a decade I have built a life where most of what I do is celebrating and promoting the Upper Peninsula and Lake Superior.
