Musings [163 words]

I feel like a hack. Do other successful members of this community feel like they’re a hack? Or that they don’t belong here? Where does the feeling come from? Here I am trying to draw attention to this year long photography project, and I’m hardly a photographer compared to so many photographers in town. I’m labeled a designer or developer, but I’ve never taken so much as a single class in either of them. Even though I’m an involved community member I still don’t have the ability to make donations to various charities or events. In this epicenter of outdoor activities, I’m hardly an outdoorsman. My bike doesn’t get the attention from me that it deserves, and I just wish I could be at Blackrocks or Veledrome and feel like I fit in with the cool kids. I’m aware of the imposter syndrome, but can’t reconcile it, fearing that I’ll still be exposed for not knowing a thing and faking it all along.

Fuel more Sunrises

There is plenty more to come from Year of the Sunrise. You can always add a cup of coffee to keep me going strong in the mornings, or a tank of gas to get me to some new places, as the sun keeps rising.
