The mornings are getting warm. It’s easier to take my time and sit down. The mornings are so early now that I have nowhere to be for an incredible amount of time each and every morning. The clock becomes more irrelevant, I’m not concerned about what time it is, just so long as it’s before sunrise. The numbers on the clock mean less and less. An alarm at 7:30AM in January and an alarm at 5:30AM is still waking up at the same time, 20, 40, 60 minutes before sunrise. I wonder what a world looks like where business gets up with the sun, where each day the shop would open 2 hours after sunrise. Game Of Thrones would air at 16 hours past sunrise. Ok, I’ve never seen it and have no desire to. But it’s nice, using the sun as my clock. And when it is, waking up at 5:30AM doesn’t feel any different than waking up at 7:30AM. Kind of.
Am I officially a morning person yet? The transformation to morning person feels nearly complete. As of late, I’ve been getting up with more time to spare before sunrise, quick to bounce out of bed with pep in my step, without pulling the blankets over my head yearning for another twenty minutes of sleep.
What once sounded like a crazy and challenging idea, is now just a part of my daily routine.
Photographing in the rain still sucks though.
