Musings [186 words]

Life feels incredibly rich at this moment. I feel fulfilled in a way that I’ve loved every moment lately, the lovely and the sad.

When looking at the clock, today marks the earliest sunrise of the year. But is it? Not really. Mostly it’s just because I’m on the eastern side of the timezone, in fact it’s an hour later at home in Marquette and that would feel like sleeping in. The clock is and time is this made up thing.

Today is the first sunrise in Wisconsin. But what’s better than that is I got to close out last night with Adam’s family and laugh with my nieces. The highlight was getting back from sunrise and being instructed to go back to bed so Chelsea could bring me breakfast in bed.

In the beginning I was writing these journal entries entirely for myself, lately I’ve been more conscious of the reader and writing it for them (yeah, you). It’s one of the hard things about a public journal, something I’d like to rein in, and might mean a few more private entries.

Fuel more Sunrises

There is plenty more to come from Year of the Sunrise. You can always add a cup of coffee to keep me going strong in the mornings, or a tank of gas to get me to some new places, as the sun keeps rising.
