Here in the Upper Peninsula, along the Great Lakes, (and anywhere really) it’s so important to find a way to interact with the world and nature each and every day. Or at least on a very frequent basis. In and around Marquette there are so many ways to do it. I choose photography, and have a few other occasional outlets. Some choose kayaking or paddle boarding, some choose hiking or mountain biking, some choose a wall each morning. Whatever it is doesn’t really matter, but finding that grounding here is incredibly important and gives us a way to connect with each other. It shouldn’t matter that Bill chose to paddle board or Cameron chose to go fishing or Megan chose to go surfing. We should all be able to connect other each other over how we connect to the water and trees amongst us all.
