I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, this is the winter I’ve been dreaming of.
And this is a photo I’ve been dreaming of. Looking out into the great white abyss during heavy snowfall.
Some only chase what we call the “beautiful” sunrises, with a visible sun and glowing pinks, oranges and purples. But they’re missng a lot. This is one of my favorite sunrises of the year, I’ve been dreaming of this one. Seeing nothing but white to the horizion. The things that are usually visible, buoys, breakwalls, variations in the ice or water, are completely invisible. This was a gorgeous morning, being in the elements, nothing but white all around, and falling into snowdrifts waste deep while trying to hold your camera above the snow.
