Musings [263 words]

It’s 12:18AM and I can’t sleep. There’s a party upstairs with lots of noise. More than ever, I just really want my own house. If I was smart, I would have made a move on that while I still had a salary, but I was so unhappy with my job I didn’t even see myself staying here at the time. Now I’m doing what I want to do, know that I want to be here, but making less than I ever have. So no house anytime soon.

However, per Friday’s post, if the snake oil worked and I really did sell all the first edition prints, I’d have plenty to make a nice downpayment on a home, and pay off my debts.

The embarrassment lives on, but I look forward to a nice nap tomorrow.

Where have all the sunrise locations gone? Where have all my hopes of weekend U.P. road trips gone? This has been a month of visiting all the same locations. Now, I even have the time and weekends to take a road trip anywhere I’d like. But I’ve not.

Will this be another project that’s just mediocre in its delivery? One that’s only part what to its goal? One that’s just a fraction of what it could have been?

Though, it is nice to return to the same places, to come full circle. The photos I"m taking now feel like the same photos I took in January nearly one year ago. For an overly sentimental guy, that’s neat, I guess.

But really, I should be somewhere new right now.
