Musings [155 words]

For the first time 133 days days the sunrise is after 7AM. I woke up this morning and looked at the sunrise time, 7:02AM! I almost cried. I mean I did tear up, is that considered crying? I’m not entirely sure when a cry begins or end.

This has been an incredible sense of accomplishment. In addition to the cooling temperature, it is also a stark reminder of the changing of seasons. I’m ready for it, excited for it. It’s been a full year, with four months to go.

When I dreamed up this idea, my biggest concern was the early morning hours of summer, if I’d be able to stick it out. To accumulate 133 days of being out the door before 7AM I would probably have to go back a couple decades.

I’ve rewritten my lifestyle and have found reward in it. I’m sad with the shortening of days.

Let’s sunrise.

Fuel more Sunrises

There is plenty more to come from Year of the Sunrise. You can always add a cup of coffee to keep me going strong in the mornings, or a tank of gas to get me to some new places, as the sun keeps rising.
